"Live Life As If Everything Is Rigged In Your Favor"

We don’t always see the lesson or blessing in everything, especially while we are still in the muck of it. But, trust that there is a purpose for your hardships, for your redirection, for your pain. Trust that somewhere underneath all of that, there IS a silver lining. A Blessing in disguise.

Although our travels are spontaneous, there is usually an element of predictability that comes with each season. For the last nearly ten years, Jay and I have chased the storms of winter, following the cold North. This year however, has taken spontaneity to the next level. We are intentionally practicing living in the flow and following our bliss. We certainly did not plan to spend the month of February in the desert, especially since that is historically our favorite month to be on the snow. BUT MAN has this been a beautiful change of pace and such a beautiful season of deep healing.

As we rang in the New Year + welcomed the New Decade, we left our expectations at the door. Im not saying that having benchmarks and goals are a bad thing, but for where we are in our own evolution, it felt right to approach this year with a different style. Jay and I both feel secure our own lives and in our relationship and with that being said, we decided rather than planning out a rough draft our travels for the year, we will soar when we feel a pull, allowing the universe to weave in some magic which no plan could ever make space for.

As we move forward, we create space + are trusting the unseen path.

Iv’e seen this quote cycle through the internet many times but for some reason it struck me different this last time when I recently re-stumbled upon it. It was said by Rumi, “Live Life As If Everything Is Rigged In Your Favor”. ……WHAT A BEAUTIFUL LENSE TO SEE THROUGH.

I have postponed some serious grief over the last several years and recently allowed myself to feel and express it wholly. This quote has made profound impact on my life in realizing that this grief + sorrow is not the end of the story. This is happening FOR me, not TO me.

It allows me to perceive my sorrow in the light of gratitude.

It give me the power to thank it, and let go of it.

Knowing that we are all connected and very much living the same experiences, I wanted to share this with you. Know that we are ALL navigating new territory.

Be kind to others, and be kind to yourself.

Be patient with others, and be patient with yourself.

Give Thanks to your hardships, for they have guided you to this very moment, being who you truly are…. and maybe, just maybe, If your path is more difficult, it's because your calling is higher.
