Vending @ Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Shop

Within the first few days of us moving to the Ozarks, I found a nice, rustic counter top island for our kitchen, handcrafted by a local man with deep rural roots. While picking up this sweet work of art, we began chatting… several hours went by in the snap of a finger. By the end of it, we realized we made our first real friend here in this new place we call home. He went on and on about a local seed shop called Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company and how we HAD TO go visit this place down the road to pick up our seeds, and promised it would inspire us to create the most beautiful garden from the inside out…. he was right. That sweet lil seed shop blew our socks off.

Besides the Baker Creek Seed Store, they also have a farm-to-table restaurant, speaker barn, an old-time mercantile, herbal apothecary, a natural bakery, blacksmith shop, two music barns, a Western jail, a native rock oven, windmills, seed warehouses, and many breeds of historic poultry and livestock scattered about. The first time we went to visit, we spent the whole day meandering about as if we landed in a fairytale, we loaded ourselves a basket full of heirloom seeds to begin our garden and as we were checking out, the lady behind the counter mentioned their festivals in the Spring and Fall. Her joy was palpable while she recalled all the memories from previous festivals. There it was, THE SEED was then perfectly sowed. I WILL VEND AGAIN, I thought, and it WILL be HERE when I do <3

A year later, n here we gooo! Enjoy this little video I made to capture the Tulip Festival @ Baker Creek back in April. I am SO EXCITED to set up another Pop-Up Shop at the Spring Planting Festival @ Baker Creek in just one more week!! (more details on my “Upcoming Events” page
