*the beloved* Mount Shasta - 

Soaring 14,179 feet into the sky, this mystical mountain-volcano is my most cherished landmark in Northern California. I spy this mountain and watch her flow through the changing seasons every fall, in between the elderberry trees, through the currant patches, meadows, slate, tundra, and even little glimpses through the thick forest. Captivated by her vastness and ability to create her own weather, Mt. Shatsa's presence is always divine, powerful and sacred.  The mountain draws people in from around the world to expand their conscious awareness, seek answers, commune with spirit, raise vibrational frequency, self heal and realign with the power of nature. I feel so fortunate to experience her existence from the brush, while living in the simplest form, connecting with the land, gathering berries and mushrooms in the wild. I have received some of the most potent insights within her presence, which is why I chose to stamp "wisdom is within" on the back of this piece.

Moonstone opens the heart to nurturing qualities as well as assisting in the acceptance of love. Since earliest times, Moonstone has been a tangible connection to the magic of the moon - an amulet of protection for travelers, a gift of lovers for passion, and a path to wisdom. Our ties to the moon are strong. As it waxes and wanes in cyclic perfection, it creates the tides and rhythms of our mother, Earth, and influences our behaviors, emotions and spiritual growth. Moonstone calms and encourages, teaching us the natural rhythms of life.
